Jelly Roll And Brandon Lake Showcase The Depths Of Their Faith On The Jimmy Kimmel Stage
Jelly Roll and Brandon Lake have people around the world shouting about their “Hard Fought Hallelujah.”
Brandon, a Christian worship artist, released the original version of “Hard Fought Hallelujah” in November 2024. The song debuted at #1 on the Digital Songs and Hot Christian Songs charts and at the 51st spot on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100
Brandon expresses his gratitude for God’s graciousness and patience in the song. He knows that God will always be with him, no matter what he may be feeling or facing. Because of this, he sings, “So I’ll bring my hard-fought, heartfelt, it-is-well hallelujah.”
When explaining the meaning behind the song, Brandon told Jesus Freak Hideout:
“This song is about the battles we face, the grit throughout the fight for faith, and the praise that comes after. I hope it resonates deeply with everyone.”
On February 7, Brandon released a remix of “Hard Fought Hallelujah” with Jelly Roll. The ACM Entertainer of the Year nominee is incredibly open about his own Christian faith.
His inclusion on the remixed version of “Hard Fought Hallelujah” took the song up another notch, and fans responded in droves. The duo’s official music video currently has over 4.3 million views.
