“The King Of Country” Is Releasing A New Album In September

George Strait has released another new song titled “Three Drinks Behind.” The track is the latest release from “The King of Country’s” upcoming album, Cowboys & Dreamers.

Cowboys & Dreamers will be Strait’s 31st studio album. It’s also his first album since 2019’s Honky Tonky Time Machine. That record included the songs “Sing One With Willie,” “Código,” and “Every Little Honky Tonk Bar.”

Cowboys & Dreamers will be released on Friday, September 6.

Strait has already released a few songs from Cowboys & Dreamers, including a beachy tune called “MIA Down in MIA” and a sentimental track titled “The Little Things.” He also shared a new duet with Chris Stapleton called “Honky Tonk Hall of Fame.”

Now, he has another new song for fans to enjoy, and it’s called “Three Drinks Behind.”

“Three Drinks Behind” is a carefree tune that has Strait singing about how he goes to the bar when life starts taking its toll on him. He finds solace in unwinding over a few drinks and believes the whole world could do the same.

As he sings:

“What we need is a little more love and less fear. It’s not that a dollar ain’t worth a dime. It’s just that the whole world is three drinks behind.“

Strait released “Three Drinks Behind” on Friday (July 19). He also shared an official audio video to accompany the track, featuring his Código tequila.

Fans immediately fell in love with the new song, commenting things such as:
