Gavin Adcock Calls Out Security For Assaulting Fans At Recent Show
Country Artist Gavin Adcock Slams Security For Fan Assault During Show
Gavin Adcock posted on his Instagram account on September 18th, 2024 that his concert that night was, “Gonna be a wild one.” Little did he know how right that statement was.
Adcock is a high-energy performer, and it is normal for him to be shirtless shotgunning a beer. His concerts are rambunctious and lean heavily into a wild party atmosphere. He knows his brand and audience and creates a great experience for his fans.
However, his most recent show took a turn and got out of hand quickly. Adcock was playing in Oxford, Mississippi, when a fan lit a cigarette in the audience. The singer asked him to stop in guidelines with the venue and sent security to handle it.
The security guard did not de-escalate the situation but ended up punching the fan.

Gavin Adcock’s Response
The singer took to his socials the next day to address what happened during his performance. He said, “Last night in Oxford, MS a couple of my fans lit up a cigarette during the show. Out of respect for the venue, I requested they put them out. The security guards proceeded to assault my fans, rather than de-escalate the situation as they’re expected to do.”
He was not happy with the way the situation was handled and took a strong stance for his fans, promising to stand up for them and keep them safe. In his words: “I will always speak my mind on stage if I see something I don’t like, and I will always stand up for my fans. Y’all are the reason I do this every weekend, and we will continue to give y’all the best and safest experience possible.”
Adcock couldn’t catch a break. At his previous concert in Arkansas, he was struck in the head by a Red Bull can.
