Entertainer Of The Year Revealed At 2024 CMA Awards
The 58th CMA Awards took place on Wednesday, November 20
Luke Bryan, Peyton Manning, and Lainey Wilson hosted the 2024 CMA Awards at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
Bryan and Manning have hosted the awards show together since 2022, while the “Love You, Miss You, Mean It” singer hosted solo in 2021, making this show his fourth consecutive year hosting the CMA Awards. Reigning Entertainer of the Year, Lainey Wilson, joined them as CMA co-host for the very first time.
Morgan Wallen led nominations with seven, while Cody Johnson and Chris Stapleton each had five. Lainey Wilson and Post Malone both scored four nominations.
Entertainer of the Year is always the night’s biggest award, but why? It is the very last award given out and according to the Country Music Association, the award recognizes the act or singer for “displaying the greatest competence in all aspects of the entertainment field.”
Voters are asked to “give consideration not only to recorded performance, but also to the in-person performance, public acceptance, leadership, and overall contribution to Country Music.”
The CMA Awards are voted on by members of the Country Music Association, which are music executives, artists, publicists, songwriters, musicians, touring personnel, and other industry professionals from all around the world.”

Luke Combs took home, Entertainer of the Year in 2021 and 2022, with additional nominations in 2020, 2023, and 2024. This year marks Jelly Roll’s first Entertainer of the Year award nomination, just one year after he took home CMA New Artist of the Year.
2024 marks the third consecutive year that Morgan Wallen earned a nomination. Lainey Wilson took home the 2023 Entertainer of the Year Award and is nominated again, looking to become the first woman to win back-to-back Entertainer of the Year Awards since Barbara Mandrell in 1981. She became the seventh solo female artist in history to take home the award.
