Hy-Vee is putting its concert lineup into high gear for next year’s IndyCar race weekend at Iowa Speedway in Newton.
The West Des Moines-based grocery store chain is set to host a lineup of four ultra-famous pop acts and country music performers: country superstar Carrie Underwood, CMA heavy hitter Kenny Chesney, radio favorites Zac Brown Band, and the ever-popular British singer Ed Sheeran on the weekend of July 17, 2023.
Underwood and Chesney are slated to perform on Saturday, July 22, of race weekend while Zac Brown Band and Sheeran are set to croon for concertgoers on the Hy-Vee Stage on Sunday, July 23.
Hy-Vee board chairman and executive director Randy Edeker said the company is excited to welcome world-renowned musical acts to the metro area with four separate performances by music’s megastars.
More than 80,000 people attended this year’s Hy-Vee IndyCar race weekend that featured Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, Florida-Georgia Line and Tim McGraw.
Hy-Vee representatives said event organizers expect next year’s crowds to surpass ticket sales and create record-breaking attendance totals.
Ticket renewals for the race weekend begin on Nov. 21 and fans are able to register now for pre-sale tickets at hyveeindycarweekend.com before regular tickets go on sale for the general public on Dec. 5.
