CONFIRMED: Snoop Dogg Will Return To Coach Season 28 Of “The Voice”

Snoop Dogg Announces Return To The Voice After Hiatus
It’s official, Snoop Dogg is returning to serve as a coach on Season 28 of The Voice!

Snoop first took on coaching duties during The Voice‘s 26th season in 2024. He coached alongside Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, and Michael Bublé.

However, after the season ended, only Michael stuck around to serve as a coach for Season 27, which is currently underway. Snoop took a hiatus, leaving fans wondering if he’d eventually return.

There’s no need to wonder anymore, because Snoop confirmed on Wednesday (April 23) that he’s coming back for Season 28!

The announcement comes as Snoop’s Death Row Pictures production company just signed a multi-year deal with NBC, the network behind The Voice.

“Not everyone has the courage and vision to see what Death Row Pictures can bring to the table, but Donna [Langley] and the NBCUniversal team have always understood, which is why I am proud to call NBCUniversal my new home,” Snoop said in a statement quoted byTV Insider. “The Dogg has officially moved into the neighborhood, ya dig?”

An article on the NBC website states that the other coaches for Season 28 will be revealed at a later date.

Country fans are holding out hope that Reba McEntire will return to the program. But the legendary singer has a jam-packed schedule already, and her NBC sitcom, Happy’s Place, was recently renewed for a second season.

However, Reba was actively filming the first season of Happy’s Place while on The Voice, so it’s possible she could make that arrangement work again!

Season 27 Of The Voice Is Currently Underway – When Is The Finale?

Another playoff episode debuts May 5, followed by a recap on May 6. The semi-finals will air on May 12, with a recap on May 13. The Season 27 finale will then air on two nights the following week, on May 19 and May 20.
