Underwood and her husband, ex-professional hockey player Mike Fisher, welcomed Jacob to the world in January of 2019, and they were open about their gratitude to God for him at the time.

“Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday,” Underwood wrote on Instagram at the time. “His mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle! Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good.”

Underwood’s Devastating Miscarriages
After welcoming her first son Isaiah, Underwood suffered three miscarriages in 2017 and 2018, which left her devastated.

“I was like, ‘Why on Earth do I keep getting pregnant if I can’t have a kid? Like, what is this? Shut the door. Like, do something. Either shut the door or let me have a kid,’” she recalled of the miscarriages. “And for the first time, I feel like I actually told God how I felt. I feel like we’re supposed to do that.”

Before she got pregnant with Jacob, Underwood faced backlash for saying that she might have missed the opportunity to have more children because of her age.

“I’m 35, so we may have missed our chance to have a big family,” Underwood said at the time. “We always talk about adoption and about doing it when our child or children are a little older.”

Thankfully, Underwood kept her faith strong, and she was blessed with another bundle of joy. Her story goes to show that even in the darkest times, it’s important to keep faith in God strong.

Always remember that God has a plan for all of us, even when it might not seem like it!
