Carrie Underwood ‘Still Flying High’ After Jaw-Dropping Guns N’ Roses Show

Carrie Underwood is “still flying high” on Monday (August 28), after opening for Guns N’ Roses over the weekend in Nashville, Tennessee. The powerhouse country star posted photos from the “incredible” concert on Saturday night (August 26) at GEODIS Park, Nashville SC’s new stadium.

Underwood shared a few “fun pics” by photographer Jeff Johnson from her opening set, which included some of her biggest career-spanning hits in addition to some classic rock covers (including “Before He Cheats,” “Out Of That Truck” “Hate My Heart,” Heart’s “Alone,” Pat Benatar’s “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” and more). Underwood also shared a few photos from her performance with Guns N’ Roses, joining the legendary rockers on some of their most iconic hits, “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Paradise City.”

The GEODIS Park show — the venue, which opened in May 2022, becomes the largest soccer-specific stadium in the U.S. and Canada with 30,000 seats — is the final Guns N’ Roses tour date that includes Underwood. Earlier this month, Underwood joined the band for two performances in Canada: in Moncton, New Brunswick, and in Montréal, Québec.

Underwood has previously joined forces with Guns N’ Roses and frontman Axl Rose for other live performances, including during her headlining set at Stagecoach Music Festival last year and in the UK last summer. Underwood also brought Rose on stage at the Los Angeles stop on her “Denim & Rhinestones Tour” earlier this year. During that tour, Underwood also nodded to Guns N’ Roses with a cover of “Welcome To The Jungle” during her encore.
