She’s one of the most talented singers in the country but Carrie Underwood still fangirls over her biggest musical inspirations.
The 36-year-old country star is seen as a fresh faced teen with braces in a throwback photo she posted to Instagram on Sunday showing the first time she met her childhood crush Bryan White.
‘I could talk to @bryan_white all day! Hear all about the first time we met and when we shared the @Opry stage, making it a full circle moment!’ She captioned the image along with the hashtag ‘#thebryanwhitepodcast’.
Back in August when she appeared on stage with White, Carrie shared a picture of the moment on Instagram, gushing: ‘This pic pretty much sums up my night at the @opry This was my #FullCircleMoment !! Growing up, I was a member of the @bryan_white Fan Club and even sang to him in a meet and greet. Tonight, I sang WITH him in the circle!’
During her induction into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame last year, she confessed her early love for White while her husband was seated in the audience.
In a speech she said: ‘The only reason, in my head, as a child, that something that big and that grand and that amazing was possible was because I had seen other people do it that were from places just like where I grew up. I saw Reba [McEntire]. I saw Garth [Brooks], I saw Vince [Gill], I saw Toby [Keith], I saw Bryan White.
‘And I’m sorry, honey, but when I was growing up, I was pretty sure I was gonna marry that guy. But, you know, it all worked out.’ she added.
Carrie is extremely busy this month as she promotes her health and fitness book Find Your Path: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul, and Get Strong with the Fit52 Life.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday, Carrie revealed she once ‘abandoned’ husband Mike Fisher and their kids to go see a Guns N’ Roses concert.
