The country star says becoming a family of four was the highlight of her 2019.
Carrie Underwood is starting the new decade by paying tribute to the little bundle of joy she welcomed at the start of 2019: her son Jacob!
Underwood shared a heartwarming collage of photos to Instagram about her family to celebrate the new decade, which included her and 11-month-old Jacob Fisher shortly after his birth last Jan. 21, followed by another picture of her husband Mike Fisher with Jacob and their older son, Isaiah.
“And the most memorable moment of all in 2019…becoming a family of four was the best way to start off the new year as we welcomed our precious Jacob! 💙 #MemorableMoments,” Underwood captioned the post of her adorable family.
You probably noticed that Underwood is completely bare-faced in her selfie with baby Jacob, but, yep, she’s full on glowing. Fans definitely took notice!
“Aww so beautiful! Happy new year to you and your family 😍💜🙏🎉” one fan commented on her post, while another wrote, “I love that you don’t have a full face of makeup on and you’re just relishing in the miraculous moment of your life without worrying about what someone would think when you post this. Beautiful and amazing! So precious.”
Though the country star previously told Prevention.com that she doesn’t really have a skincare routine and “probably should,” she still swears by coconut oil. “I like oils instead of moisturizers,” she said. “I feel like they take make up off better.”
And to enhance her skin before a big show? Underwood opts for some eye patches. Before she hosted the 2019 CMAs alongside Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire, Underwood gave us a glimpse into her pre-show routine. “Nothing can beat a nap to help you look and feel fresh, but when that isn’t possible, a few minutes with a good eye mask can help!” she previously told Today about the retinol-based Shiseido eye masks that she loves.
The “Cry Pretty” singer also believes that her commitment to health helps keep her skin radiant. “I drink a lot of water,” she says. “For me, step one is to eat healthy that hopefully works its way from the inside out.”
Clearly, this system is working for her!
