Carrie Underwood Reportedly Never Saw Herself Being with a Guy like Mike Fisher

Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher open up about how different they are from each other and what helps them despite their differences.

It is almost impossible for a person to choose whom they fall in love with, which is why it is common saying that opposites do attract. Talented Country singer Carrie Underwood and her retired hockey player husband Mike Fisher recently opened up about their differences in a new short film series titled “Mark and Carrie: God & Country.”

The couple opens up about how different they were and how they dealt with their differences while managing to parent their sons. In the episode, Carrie talked about how she never saw herself being with a man like her husband. She stated that while she is an animal lover, her husband is a hunter. She also said:

“I don’t eat meat and do my best to not buy leather things. I love animals; I love life so much that I always swore I would never marry a hunter… not in a million years.”

However, now that she is married to Mike, she stated that both of them try to learn from each other and share their opinions about things they disagree with.

While they might have different views and spirited discussions about certain things, the most important thing for them is their love for each other.

Another thing that helps the couple stay together apart from their love is their faith in God, which has helped them all through the ten years of marriage.

According to the retired NHL star, irrespective of how different and opposite they both are in areas of their lives, faith and being grounded in God is of utmost importance. He also added:

Aside from their difference in opinion when it came to animals, Mike and Carrie also had different ideas about having a family. While Carrie was not certain she wanted a family when she was younger, Mike was sure that he wanted one.

The last of three girls, Carrie, expressed that she felt comfortable being independent and did not think she would get married. Mike, who came from a family of six, wanted to have the kind of loving relationship his parents had. For Mike, he is grateful to God that he can have such a family.

The couple who are parents to two adorable boys Isaiah and Jacob, whom they welcomed in 2015 and 2019 respectively, also touched on how having children changed their lives and their struggle with miscarriages.

Mike and Carrie, who have been following the lockdown rules with their kids, started the short film series to talk about their experiences as a couple and serve as an encouragement to those who might need it.
