Carrie Underwood Goes Makeup-Free While Showing Off Her Outdoor Skills

Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood proved her talents include more than just an incredible vocal range but a bit of a green thumb, too.

The “Hate My Heart” singer got down and dirty for Instagram, sharing a series of selfies showing off her latest harvest of homegrown veggies and leafy greens.

In the carousel of four photos–two of which were glowing makeup-free selfies–the iconic country-pop artist flaunted a colorful array of fresh-picked produce, including carrots, beets and what appeared to be a bunch of kale.

The fruit of her labor isn’t all as sweet as it looks, though, with Underwood, 40, admitting that she almost wrote off trying to grow carrots after multiple attempts that yielded nothing but frustration.

“I swore I’d never try to grow carrots again after a couple failed attempts…but here we are! 🥕🥕🥕👩‍🌾👩‍🌾👩‍🌾,” the American Idol alum wrote in the caption of Monday’s post. “Feels so good to grow things…” she confessed before shouting out the popular Instagram account known for sharing DIY and educational gardening content, Epic Gardening, whose creators also helped build her greenhouse. “Hoping the @epicgardening folks see this and feel just as excited and proud as I do about my greenhouse goodies!! ❤️❤️❤️.”

Underwood further expressed her elation through a series of fitting hashtags, including “#organic,” “#healthy,” and “#blessed.”

Fans immediately took notice of her hard work, some more seriously than others.

“Garden goals! These look amazing!” one cheered before another exclaimed, “Beautiful harvest 🥕👩‍🌾 congratulations 🙌.”

“My only question is who tends the garden when she is in tour?” someone else quipped.

This isn’t the first time the pop star has flaunted her farming skills. Earlier this year, she shared a behind-the-scenes look at building her greenhouse on Instagram.

“Obsessed with my new greenhouse,” she wrote in the caption of the Feb. 18 post. “THANK YOU @epicgardening for being so kind and helping set everything up so perfectly!”
With summer still a ways away, we hope this means Underwood’s farm-to-photo shoot fun is only getting started.
