Diet and exercise go a long way when it comes to helping stars stay healthy and fit, but Carrie Underwood gets a little extra help from a particular potion.
Asked about her secrets to looking “lean and muscular,” the 36-year-old country superstar told InStyle that she swears by “a good self-tanner or body bronzer. I like Ofra Cosmetics RCK Body Glow, a tinted lotion with a bit of shimmer.”
“If you want your legs to look toned, believe me, a little shimmer goes a long way,” Underwood added.
The $39 body lotion claims to deliver an “all-year, all-over, long-lasting glow,” according to its product description, and “provides instantly luminous coverage for any imperfections” including dark spots, veins, cellulite and stretch marks. Its hydrating active ingredients include hyaluronic acid and squalene.

The “Drinking Alone” singer, whose new health and fitness book “Find Your Path” comes out March 3, also discussed her workout plan with the outlet.
“I’ve definitely changed my approach to fitness as I’ve gotten older,” the mother of two shared. “In my 20s I was all about cardio and anything that made me sweat. Now that I’m 37 and have two kids, I’m focused on getting the most out of my workout time. I do lower-impact exercises with higher weights, and I try to maximize each and every rep.”
As for her eating habits? “I keep my macro numbers — which is your calories, carbs, and protein intake — in check,” she said simply.
