Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher Talk Marriage, Family and Miscarriage in Personal in New Series

Carrie Underwood

There’s more to Carrie Underwood than meets the eye or ear. There’s a deeply profound relationship with God that casual fans may not be aware of. And when she and her husband, Mike Fisher, unite, they are a faith-filled force for good. Now, the couple is opening up about their lives, marriage, family and spirituality in a new four-episode series Mike and Carrie: God and Country.

In the official trailer for the series, Carrie and Mike reveal some of the challenges they have faced since their relationship began, including Carrie, a longtime vegetarian, revealing that she always swore she would never marry a hunter. She also admitted that she and Mike differ “drastically.”

One of the ways that they differed in the past is that Mike confessed that he had always wanted a houseful of children, while Carrie reveals she was never good with other people’s children. That has obviously changed as the pair welcomed their second little boy, Jacob, last year.

Carrie and Mike also discuss the heartbreaking miscarriages that they endured together and the singer’s open and honest conversation with God where she felt her faith being challenged.

“I just had an honest conversation with God. I was hurt and I told him how I felt,” said Underwood.

Mike previously took part in I Am Second’s “White Chair Film” series where he told about his own life, and career, as well as the struggle that came with being a professional athlete and walking in faith.

Other celebrities who have shot White Chair films for I Am Second include Josh Turner, Kathie Lee Gifford, Chip and Joanna Gaines and Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson.
