A brand-new character played by Sam Elliott
According to USA Today, Moore and Garcia’s roles will expand in Season 2. Thornton explained:
“Last season Demi was essentially just the wife of a big-oil guy. There wasn’t a lot to do. Taylor Sheridan always knew she wasn’t being underused, but that there was a plan all along.”
One image shows Moore’s Cami Miller standing at what appears to be her late husband Monty’s grave. Other photos highlight Tommy and Angela together, Galino raising a glass, and Ainsley practicing a cheer routine.
Two photos also introduce Sam Elliott’s new character, including a porch scene with Tommy and a moody restaurant setting.
Who Does Sam Elliott Play in Landman?
Very little is known about Sam Elliott’s Landman character, but one detail has been confirmed: his name is T.L. Beyond that, Taylor Sheridan is keeping everything else secret.
Thornton shared his excitement about Elliott joining the cast:
“I’ve known Sam for a long time… He’s been a hero of mine my whole career, and I call him my friend. He’s a great actor.”
The secrecy around T.L.’s role suggests Sheridan has a major storyline planned for Elliott’s character — one that will likely unfold when Landman Season 2 premieres on November 16.
