Jelly Roll always finds a way to connect with his fans. During his show at the Lasso Montreal country music festival in Canada, he created one of the most emotional highlights of the night.

A Daughter’s Sign Stops Jelly Roll Mid-Performance

While performing, Jelly Roll spotted a young girl holding up a sign. When the Jumbotron zoomed in, the message read:
“MY DAD HAS BEEN SOBER FOR 1384 DAYS.”

The singer quickly asked if her father was there. A man, with tears in his eyes, raised his hand. What happened next stunned the crowd.

Jelly Roll Steps Into the Crowd

Known for his honesty about past struggles with addiction, Jelly Roll decided this moment needed something special.

“I’m gonna come see this man right here,” he told the audience as he left the stage and walked straight into the crowd.

He reached the man, named Mike, and wrapped him in a heartfelt hug. The crowd immediately started chanting Mike’s name. Jelly Roll also praised the daughter for her support, calling it a “daddy-daughter moment I dream of.”

A Song for Sobriety

The singer didn’t stop there. He wanted to honor Mike’s journey with music.

“I don’t have a song about anybody being 1,384 days sober,” he said. “But I wrote one about somebody experiencing their very first day sober, and I want to sing that for you tonight. So we can celebrate you… all 30,000 of us!”

Jelly Roll returned to the stage and sang “Winning Streak” from his Beautifully Broken album. The crowd cheered as the entire festival turned into a celebration of sobriety, strength, and family.
