Lainey Wilson Returns To The Grammys One Year After Winning Best Country Album
Country music superstar Lainey Wilson appeared at the 2025 Grammy Awards one year after winning the award for Best Country Album. But she didn’t just make an appearance; she performed!
Wilson’s hit record Bell-Bottom Country earned the Grammy for Best Country Album in 2024. The album produced the hit singles “Heart Like a Truck,” “Watermelon Moonshine,” and “Wildflowers and Wild Horses.”
She delivered a grateful acceptance speech during the ceremony, saying:
“Thank you, Jesus. Thank you so much to the Recording Academy, and thank you to my fans. I love y’all so much.”
Wilson found herself up for the same award again this year. Her latest record, Whirlwind, scored a nod in the Best Country Album category.
The other nominated albums were:

- Deeper Well by Kacey Musgraves
- Higher by Chris Stapleton
In addition to being a nominee, Wilson also joined the star-studded lineup of performers. The Recording Academy announced just days before the ceremony that she would sing during the show, and Billboard reported she would be one of the artists delivering a tribute performance.
Lainey Delivers Unforgettable Performance At 2025 Ceremony
The 2025 Grammy Awards aired on CBS on Sunday, February 2, starting at 8 PM ET. The ceremony was also available to stream on Paramount+.
Wilson delivered an unforgettable performance as part of a larger tribute to the iconic record producer, composer, trumpet player, recording artist, and bandleader Quincy Jones, who passed away in November 2024.
She performed a jazzy, yet country rendition of “Let the Good Times Roll.” Jacob Collier accompanied her on piano.
“Let the Good Times Roll” is an iconic song that has been around since 1946. Jones recorded it for his Grammy-winning album Q’s Jook Joint, which he released in 1995, just three years after Wilson was born.
