Post Malone + Lainey Wilson Debut ‘Nosedive’ at the Opry [Watch]
During his Grand Ole Opry debut on Wednesday (Aug. 14), Post Malone brought surprises and special guests to the circle.
One of those was Lainey Wilson, who hopped onstage with the rapper-turned-country-star to debut their new song, “Nosedive.” That song is one of several mega-watt collaborations off Posty’s country album, F-1 Trillion, which arrives on Friday (Aug. 16).
Onstage, the two singers shared the first-ever performance of their duet, a dreamy, mid-tempo ballad about finding the positivity in every stage of life, even the most chaotic moments.
“Sometimes you’re driving / Sometimes you’re stalling / Sometimes you’re flying / Sometimes you’re falling / But there’s still beauty in the nosedive,” Post sings at the beginning of the clip, with Wilson joining him to harmonize in the chorus.

Brad Paisley — who’s a featured artist on Post’s country album — formally invited the singer to make his Opry debut a few weeks back. Paisley introduced Post to the stage on Wednesday night, kicking off a set from the cross-genre star that included both songs off his upcoming country album as well as a reimagined, twangy version of his pop hit, “Sunflower.”
He also brought John Michael Montgomery to the stage for a surprise duet performance of Montgomery’s mid-’90s hit “Be My Baby Tonight.”

F-1 Trillion includes collaborations with a slew of country A-Listers, including Dolly Parton, Jelly Roll, Hank Williams Jr., Chris Stapleton and more. He’s already dropped a couple of big duets, including one with Blake Shelton called “Pour Me a Drink” and his album’s lead single, a team-up with Morgan Wallen called “I Had Some Help.”
F-1 Trillion arrives on Friday (Aug. 16).
