Reba Reveals Why She Stayed Home For An Entire Month After Filming “The Voice”
During a recent visit to The Drew Barrymore Show, country music star Reba McEntire talked about how she took some much-needed time off after filming The Voice.
Reba joined The Voice as a coach for Season 24, and fans quickly loved her. She returned for Season 25, where she celebrated a big win: her contestant, Asher HaVon, took home the title! This season was special because Reba had two singers in the final two spots.

Looking ahead, Reba will continue her role on The Voice, with the next season starting on September 23, 2024. Fans are excited to see what she will do next! Her success as a coach shows just how well she connects with her contestants, but even the best of the best need a break now and then.
Taking Time For Herself
With such a busy schedule, it’s no wonder Reba needed a break. When Drew asked her how she handles being so “booked and busy,” Reba shared a personal story. After finishing the last season, she went back to her peaceful home in Tennessee, deep in the woods, and didn’t leave.
“I didn’t go past the mailbox for a month. Rex went and got the groceries. I didn’t do anything but just relax. I needed that so badly.”
Reba then said that she recognizes that while people try to stay busy and productive, there comes a time when they can feel overwhelmed or hit a “wall.” For her, taking time to be still helps her recharge and regain her energy.
After feeling well-rested, she mentioned that she then attempted to step out of her “bubble.”
“Well, I didn’t go very far. I bet I didn’t go 15 miles. [I wanted to] get back into that little bubble, that little sanctuary where you can go out and feed the donkeys and the longhorns and the horses and see the cats and walk the creek. That just refuels my spirituality and grounds me.”
Reba’s New Sitcom
Besides her role on The Voice, Reba McEntire has been incredibly busy with new music and filming her highly anticipated sitcom, Happy’s Place.
Fans can’t wait to see Reba back in action. She is not only starring in the show but also executive producing it. Plus, she will be recording a brand-new theme song for Happy’s Place, just like she did for her previous hit sitcom, Reba.
Last month, NBC announced the premiere date for Happy’s Place. You can watch a short clip from the show below!
