Lauren Alaina Thanks Jason Aldean For His Support Following Her Father’s Death
After a brief break, Lauren Alaina is returning to the stage just shy of two weeks after the heartbreaking loss of her father.
Lauren Alaina’s dad, J.J. Suddeth, sadly passed away unexpectedly on July 23. The country star took to social media to share the heartbreaking news with her fans, expressing her need to spend time with family.
At the time, Lauren had been touring with Jason Aldean for his Highway Desperado Tour. Because of the sudden news, she had to cancel her appearance at several shows. In her heartfelt message, Lauren wrote:
“We lost my daddy last night, and I really have no words yet…I am going home to be with my family. Thank you for your prayers and understanding.”

Lauren Alaina has now found the strength to hit the stage once again.
After spending some much-needed time at home with her family, Lauren has joined Jason Aldean back on tour. She even gave him a special shoutout for being by her side.
In a new social media post, Lauren expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support she has received. She highlighted the kindness of her friends, family, and fans, as well as the unwavering support from Jason and his wife, Brittany. Their friendship during this tough time has been a source of comfort for her.
“Thank you. I can’t think of much else to say right now other than thank you. Thank you to everyone who has checked on me and continued to show up for me. Thank you to [Jason Aldean] and [Brittany Aldean] and your team for treating me like family.”
Lauren also thanked her husband, Cam Arnold, for holding her in his arms, her mom and “bonus dad” for joining her on the road, and her siblings for their frequent calls to make her smile.
The American Idol alum ended her post by writing:
“Most of all thank you Jesus for the unconditional love and strength from the Kingdom of God surrounding all of us right now as we navigate this pain and sorrow.”
