Chase Rice forecasts Florida Georgia Line’s upcoming plans.

Chase Rice anticipates exciting developments for Florida Georgia Line as the duo reunites to create new music together.

The iconic country duo, comprised of Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard, is back to collaborating after a period of individual endeavors. Having co-written the chart-topping hit “Cruise,” Rice has an insightful perspective on their musical journey. In a recent interview with Taste of Country Nights, he shared expectations for their songwriting approach moving forward.

Insights on Upcoming Collaborations

Rice believes Florida Georgia Line will dive deep into the writing process, likely producing a wealth of new material. “Knowing them, they’ll probably write a ton together,” he remarked. He speculated that Kelley and Hubbard might focus on creating songs in intimate settings or reconnect with past collaborators like Craig Wiseman and Rodney Clawson, though he noted uncertainty regarding their current relationships with those co-writers.

Reflecting on their creative dynamics, Rice described his earlier songwriting experiences with Kelley, often engaging more frequently with him than Hubbard. “When we were writing back in the day, we were writing for me mostly, and I’d write with Brian a lot,” said Rice, acknowledging a shift in his collaborations. He expressed that he has recently worked more with Hubbard than with Kelley, indicating a fluidity in their professional relationships.

The Future of Florida Georgia Line

Despite Rice’s significant contribution to Florida Georgia Line’s successes, he does not foresee himself heavily involved in their upcoming projects. Noting the evolution of his musical style, he suggested that his current writing may not align with their direction. However, his enthusiasm for their future endeavors remains high. “I’m excited to hear what they do,” Rice stated, recognizing the anticipation surrounding their reunion.

As fans await new music from Florida Georgia Line, the trio’s rich history assures that there’s plenty of interest in the unfolding chapters of their careers.
