On October 20, Ballerini returned to her hometown to unveil the program in collaboration with Musicians On Call, a nonprofit dedicated to delivering live music to healthcare facilities. This program was made possible through Ballerini’s Feel Your Way Through Charitable Fund. “Music is one of those things that just meets you where you are,” Ballerini shared, highlighting its healing power to comfort those in need.

Longtime Commitment to Healing Through Music

Ballerini has dedicated over a decade to volunteering with Musicians On Call, bringing live performances to patients in Nashville, Phoenix, and even connecting virtually during the pandemic. “I’ve gotten to do this with Musicians On Call for 11 years, and I know how important and magical these programs are,” she remarked, emphasizing the significance of the new initiative in her hometown.

During the launch event, Ballerini performed a selection of her hits including “I Would, Would You,” and “Dibs,” as well as a heartfelt rendition of Bill Withers’ “Lean On Me.” She also took the time to visit patients unable to attend the performance, sharing personal moments with them at their bedsides.

This program is designed to be a long-lasting addition to the patient experience at Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital. Musicians On Call will continue to send volunteer musicians into the facility to provide comfort and joy during difficult moments for families.

Pete Griffin, president and CEO of Musicians On Call, praised Ballerini’s remarkable influence, stating, “She instantly lights up the room and brings so much joy with both her music and energy.” Griffin emphasized that Ballerini’s generosity will create lasting experiences for patients and families in Knoxville.

For Ballerini, this initiative not only strengthens her community ties but also reinforces her belief that music holds the power to transform and uplift, even in life’s toughest circumstances.
