Urban is not new to The Voice. He previously served as Blake Shelton’s team advisor during Season 15 in 2018.
Additionally, Urban served as a coach on the Australian version of The Voice. He coached seasons 1, 10, and 11. The singer also served as a judge on American Idol for seasons 12-15.
What Is A Voice Mega Mentor?
As the Voice Mega Mentor, Urban will help advise the contestants of Season 25 as they prepare for the knockouts. He will work with all four teams. So that means Urban will collaborate with each of the season’s coaches: Reba McEntire, John Legend, Chance the Rapper, and Dan + Shay.
Urban will first appear on the show on Monday, April 8.
Urban is the latest superstar Mega Mentor to sign on for The Voice. Previous singers who’ve filled the same role (or similar role as a Key Advisor) include Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Wynonna Judd, Snoop Dogg, Ed Sheeran, and now-coach Reba McEntire.
