Zach Top Brings “Best Anthem Since Chris Stapleton” To NFC Championship

Zach Top returned to his home state to sing the national anthem ahead of Sunday night’s NFC Championship game.

Grammy-nominated country star Zach Top, a native of Washington, had the honor of singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” for his home team, the Seattle Seahawks, before kickoff of the NFC Championship. The game was held at Seattle’s Lumen Field and saw the Seahawks competing against the Los Angeles Rams for a spot in Super Bowl LX.

Top was raised on a 20,000 ranch in Sunnyside, Washington. The “I Never Lie” singer expressed his excitement about performing the anthem in a video posted online, saying, “Very honored, very excited. Let’s go, 12s. Let’s go, Hawks.”

For his performance, Zach Top stood in center field with his black cowboy hat in hand, donning a jacket in support of the Seahawks.

His performance was met with praise from viewers, many of whom were being introduced to the singer for the first time. And longtime fans expressed how proud they were of Zach, while others called for him to be the Super Bowl halftime show performer.

Sunday wasn’t the first time Zach Top sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” on a national stage.

In 2023, Top sang the anthem to kick off the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. The following year he returned to deliver a full-length concert as the opening night performer.

Zach made his NFL anthem debut in 2024, singing before the Cincinnati Bengals vs. Philadelphia Eagles game at Paycor Stadium.
