Vince Gill Remembers His Early Days In Nashville With Latest EP Release
Vince Gill Signs Lifetime Record Deal
Grand Ole Opry member Vince Gill will be making music for the rest of his life – literally. The “One More Last Chance” singer signed an unheard-of lifetime record deal with MCA Records in October 2025.
Since signing with MCA in 1989, Gill has released 16 albums, won 22 Grammy Awards, seven ACM Awards, and 18 CMA Awards. He has the highest number of Grammy wins of any male country singer.
Vince revealed to Music Row that the new record deal included plans to release a “treasure trove” of new music. He shared:
“I’m feeling the most creative I’ve ever felt in my career these last few years. I’ve collected a treasure trove of songs and with my friends and partners at MCA we’ve come up with a way to release all this new music. It’s a partnership that’s lasted 36 years and I’m grateful for it.”

Vince Gill Releases First EP Of The Year
As part of Vince Gill’s lifetime record deal, he will release an EP every month for one year. The first of the series, titled Everything I Had, was released on October 17th and featured an extended version of “Go Rest High On That Mountain.” Next came Secondhand Smoke on November 14th.
The third EP in the series dropped on January 9th and pays homage to a beloved Nashville eatery, Brown’s Diner. Vince says of the establishment:
“It’s been in Nashville for 100 years now, and I’ve been going for 50. When I made my first trip to Nashville in the mid-70s I remember going to Brown’s for a cheeseburger; they’re famous for being really good cheeseburgers. It’s a funky little joint, close to Music Row, so tons of singers and songwriters and musicians turn up there. It’s just a great vibe.”
Brown’s Diner Bar features special guests and co-writers, including Ernest, Jake Worthington, Leslie Satcher, Wade Bowen, and Waylon Payne.
Brown’s Diner Bar Track List:
1. “Brown’s Diner Bar”
2. “Not Having You Around” Leslie Satcher
3. “This Lonesome Old Cowboy” with Wade Bowen
4. “Nobody Knows” with Waylon Payne
5. “Young Again”
6. “I’m Selling All My Memories” with Ernest and Jake Worthington
