Carrie Underwood is resuming her workout routine after sustaining a neck injury.
The superstar shared a selfie on her fit52 fitness app on Friday (Jan. 29), revealing that the injury forced her to take some time away from the gym.
“Been out a few days w/a neck injury,” she captioned the photo, which was re-posted by a Carrie Underwood fan page. “Slowly stepping back in w/ swaps and modifications.”
Underwood, however, did not reveal how she was injured or the severity of the injury.
The superstar launched the fit52 app in early 2020 in conjunction with the release of her book, fitness and lifestyle book, FIND YOUR PATH: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul, and Get Strong with the Fit52 Life. The app was created to encourage and support people on their personal wellness journeys. Designed with those who have a busy lifestyle in mind, the fit52 app features fitness routines that are simple to do anywhere, anytime and in as little as 30 minutes. Underwood created the workout routines alongside her longtime personal trainer, Eve Overland. Her husband, Mike Fisher, is also a trainer on the app.
“Fitness is a true passion for me,” Underwood previously shared. “The fit52 app incorporates what I’ve been doing myself for years, and we’ve made it easy and totally accessible for anyone that wants help to work in working out. We worked really hard to create a high-quality, user-friendly app that is designed for busy people and their busy lives. fit52 meets you wherever you are on your health journey, and I’m so proud of it.”
The seven-time GRAMMY winner recently expanded her ever-growing health and wellness portfolio by teaming up with BODYARMOR LYTE Sports Drink for a new equity partnership. She also stars in the brand’s first-ever national television campaign, which can be viewed below.
Underwood is gearing up to release her first-ever Gospel album, My Savior, on March 26, 2021.
