Carrie Underwood announced some unexpected news to her fans on Wednesday (June 3) during a virtual fan club party, she unveiled that she is working on a full-length Christmas album that is coming this year during the Holiday Season.
The “Cry Pretty” hitmaker has released Christmas songs in the past including “‘O Holy Night,” “Do You Hear What I Hear,” “The First Noel” and “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” but hasn’t yet given fans a full-length Holiday record, until now.

Country Now reports that Underwood detailed the forthcoming effort during her virtual fan club party, a party that typically takes place during the annual CMA Festival in Nashville but with the global health crisis, the festival was cancelled and she still wanted to talk with her fans so she brought it to them virtually from her living room.
She shared that she has been working on the Christmas album since wrapping her Cry Pretty Tour 360 last year.
Additionally, During the fan club party, the superstar answered fan questions, performed a few songs acoustically and even hosted a raffle.
Before ending her virtual fan club party, Underwood acknowledged an important message behind her song “Love Wins,” telling fans “God has given us the capacity to love each other,” then performing the song for fans to enjoy from her home to their homes.
An official announcement about the Christmas album has been made and there is no release date as of yet.
